I hit a milestone in my diet over the weekend. As of Sunday, I’ve officially lost 30 pounds. I’m still 41 pounds from my goal, but I’m almost halfway there.
Rode 53 miles on Saturday. If you are familiar with the Roanoke, VA, area, I rode from Roanoke to Blacksburg and back. Felt really, really good on the bike. Trying a new on-bike fueling strategy, and it seems to be working very well. It seemed like I had endless energy. Climbed the climbs in a much higher gear than normal and dropped my riding partners on all the climbs. It’s usually the other way around.
Kind of afraid to ride again though, in the fear that next time won’t be as good. But, I guess we’ll see…
